IDE & Terminal Integration

Choose your defaults

Open Settings to select your preferred IDE and terminal. Canopy detects installed apps and lets you change this anytime.

Open a project instantly

Each site card includes:

  • Open in IDE
  • Open in Terminal

This opens the project at the correct path without manual navigation. Site menu action for opening the project in IDE Temporary verification: site action for Open in IDE.

Supported terminals

Canopy supports Terminal.app, iTerm2, Warp, Ghostty, Alacritty, and Kitty.
